Nix & Ash - Our Story

First of all let us say a big thanks for stopping by and supporting our family business!

We love life, the outdoors and think families should be able to stay sun safe while still looking stylish and sophisticated!

We are a Gold Coast based community-minded family who love making memories and spending time together playing under the Australian sun. Whether we’re hanging out at the beach, our favourite playground or brunching at our local café - a lot of life happens outdoors for us.

We created Nix & Ash after hunting for a hat for our boys that would block out the harsh Aussie sun but also looked great too. We wanted something fashion conscious AND functional - and when we couldn’t find what we were looking for we decided to make it ourselves.

Nix & Ash is named and inspired by our two sons, Nixon and Ashton.  We joke that Nix & Ash is our third baby because we love what we do so much! Our goal and commitment is to help your family look and feel great while staying sun safe (because skin cancer is no joke!). When you buy a hat from us we want you to feel good vibes only. From selecting something fun and colourful in a style that suits you, to knowing you’re supporting a fellow local Aussie family - we’ll give you plenty to smile about.

When you purchase a Nix & Ash hat you can feel extra great because we donate 5% from every online sale to Baby Give Back, a Gold Coast charity helping kids doing it tough to have a great start in life. This is just our way of helping fellow Aussie families and playing a small part in supporting our local Gold Coast community.
